How to make No-Cook Mason Jar Soups

Ingredients:

  • A bullion
  • Vegetables (such as carrots, celery, onions, bell peppers, and spinach)
  • Protein (such as cooked meats or tofu)
  • Herbs and spices (such as garlic, ginger, thyme, rosemary, and chili flakes)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Start by layering the ingredients in a clean, dry Mason jar. Begin with the bullion.
  • Next, add your choice of vegetables, followed by the protein and herbs or spices. Be sure to layer the ingredients in a way that allows for even distribution and easy mixing when it's time to eat.
  • Once all the ingredients are layered in the jar, seal it tightly with the lid and store it in the refrigerator until you're ready to enjoy your soup.
  • When you're ready to eat, simply remove the lid from the mason jar and pour boiling water, leaving about an inch of space at the top to allow for stirring.
  • Let the soup sit for about 10 minutes to allow the ingredients to heat up and the flavors to meld together.
  • Give the soup a good stir to mix everything, then taste and adjust the seasoning as needed with salt and pepper.
  • Enjoy your delicious mason jar soup straight from the jar or pour it into a bowl if you prefer.
